Paper Plate Mushrooms

If fairy gardens are your thing, this is a super cute way to create one!

Ages: 5+

You will need:

⋒ Paper plates

⋒ Acrylic paints

⋒ Scissors

⋒ Textas or paint pens

⋒ A3 paper

⋒ PVA glue

  1. Using the paper plates, cut out your mushroom cap and stalk shapes. To keep it interesting, make them all different sizes & shapes.

  2. Paint the caps & stalks using your choice of mushroom-y colours & leave to dry.

  3. Add details, such as toadstool spots, using additional paint, textas or paint pens.

  4. Paint your A3 paper a nice forest green. Alternatively, you could use green cardboard.

  5. Assemble your troop of mushrooms & glue into place!

Once complete, you could even add more details like dirt, rocks, flowers or tree stumps. Maybe some fairies that have set up camp in the forest.

Have fun!
